EASY START: Home Assistant Green is the easiest way to use Home Assistant. It comes pre-installed and is quick to set up – just unpack, connect via Ethernet cable, plug into power, and get started. Check out Simon’s video (further down), for example.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Home Assistant is powerful and flexible – it is not a closed, pre-packaged system. You don’t need much to get started; for those who want to automate more deeply, the community and guides offer practically unlimited possibilities. Plan some time to get familiar with it – in return, your smart home truly belongs to you.

ETHERNET CONNECTION: Connection is made via the included Gigabit Ethernet cable to your router (no built-in Wi-Fi) – for a stable, reliable connection.

COMPATIBLE WITH (ALMOST) EVERYTHING: The powerful hardware allows you to centrally control and automate almost all devices and systems in your home – everything in a single app.

INTEGRATED: Over 1,000 integrations allow you to control hundreds of thousands of smart devices and online services. The community is continuously expanding compatibility.

EASY MIGRATION: Migrate gradually from other smart home systems. Home Assistant works with existing Apple HomeKit, Google Home*, Samsung SmartThings**, and Amazon Alexa* setups and allows for a seamless transition.
* A Home Assistant Cloud subscription (Nabu Casa) is recommended for integration with Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
** Samsung SmartThings requires webhooks, available with a Home Assistant Cloud subscription.

EXPANDABLE (SEPARATE antennas): For Zigbee, Thread, Z-Wave, or Bluetooth, a suitable USB radio stick / antenna is required, which is not included. Add, for example, the Home Assistant Connect ZBT-2 for Zigbee and Thread devices or set up Home Assistant Cloud for voice control – this way, your hub grows with your home.

TRUSTWORTHY: Your smart home remains long-lasting, secure, and under your control. With Home Assistant, you are independent of external cloud providers.

IMPROVES EVERY MONTH: Thanks to the active open-source community, new features and improvements are provided regularly, keeping your system constantly up to date.

PRIVACY & LOCAL STORAGE: Your data is stored locally – protected from external use and available at all times. Core automations continue to run locally, even if the internet goes down.
